Communication consultancy specialising in media relations, internal communications and crisis communications takes on three new employees

Aartselaar, 10th May 2007 – 2006 was a very good year for Leads United and everything points to expansion continuing in 2007. The last few months have extended the client portfolio several times over and the prospects for the rest of the year are very promising. For that reason, this March the company recruited three new employees to solidify its ambitions and enable it to approach the future with confidence and determination.

More clients, increased needs
Quite a few companies have already placed their trust in Leads United: Ace, Capco, Cosentino, Scania, Benecol, Blue Planet Run. The consultancy is always ready to deal with their media relations and provide advice with internal communications or crisis communications. The communications consultancy guarantees optimal service to all of its clients and the three new employees have been engaged to fulfil that guarantee.

Three employees, one commitment
The three newcomers have been carefully selected to provide an ideal blend. Two women, one man; two Dutch speakers, one French speaker; two “juniors”, one “senior” and they all have the same commitment to communications. All three were engaged not only for their professional capabilities but also for their human qualities. They have, therefore, integrated with the existing team without difficulty and now provide support for all projects emanating from the Antwerp communication office.

Valerie Van der Veeken (Account Director)
Valerie Van der Veeken has worked in communications bureaux for the last twelve years and specialises in both Fast Moving Consumer Goods and Lifestyle. She has contributed to projects for Kellogg’s, Nestlé, McDonald’s, Promedia, Adidas, Whirlpool, Pfizer, AstraZeneca and others. At Leads United, she will be responsible for the drafting of major projects, the continuity of communications projects and prospecting for new partnerships.

Sally Herygers (Junior Communication Consultant)
After gaining her bachelors diploma in communications management from the Plantijn Hogeschool in Antwerp, Sally Herygers completed work experience at DaimlerChrysler, including three months at the headquarters in Stuttgart (Germany). After another five months at Hill & Knowlton, she brought her fresh outlook and her enthusiasm for efficient communications to Leads United.

Julien Brasseur (Junior Communication Consultant)
Julien Brasseur developed his communications talent in the non-commercial sector. Over the last three years, he acquired press experience and editorial skills with the weekly paper “Spirou”. This background will be very useful to Leads United for the development of its business in the francophone part of the country.

“Good work is only possible with the right resources” says a very happy Dian Wahlen, Managing Director of Leads United, “and our numerous clients deserve the very best! That’s why we’re always on the lookout for new talent. Our new employees are exactly what we were seeking - refreshing, motivated and enthusiastic for our business. The cherry on the cake is that they share our vision! They’ve already made a flying start! The value of a new employee is adequately demonstrated when they manage to integrate with an existing team!”
